It all began over 20 years ago making cakes for family and friends as a hobby. Completely self-taught initially from books and YouTube videos, I was never really a baker and had no creative flair to speak of but for some reason, it fast became what I loved to do in my spare time.
Originally from Cumbria, working as a hairdresser and when I moved to the North East I made a bold decision to change career. I went back to College and gained level 3 in Patisserie and confectionary and found myself working in a restaurant kitchen in Newcastle which gave me a confidence boost as well as invaluable training that was needed.
After 15 years working in hospitality as a chef, baker and more recently as a food and beverage manager, time with my family was my sanctuary and all I wanted after a long day was to not cook. I loved nothing more than snuggled on the sofa with my family, a good movie and all our favourite nibbles. When you want a little treat, that idea of creating a “picky tea” as my family would call it got rather expensive as you have to buy everything in large quantities, I looked for something that I could order but there was nothing out there and so the idea of the sharing grazing box was born.
Spring forward to today and we are now creating bespoke sharing boxes for those nights in with family as well as Grazing tables for parties, weddings and events.
